As a firm, we feel that giving back to our community helps boost employee morale, builds a collaborative and inspired team spirit, and just feels good! We work as a team, not only to support our community, but to support our colleagues as they participate in world-changing initiatives that they truly care about.

CRR hosted a charity kickball and wiffleball tournament as part of the MSCPA’s CPA Day of Service, raising funds for the Gregory T. O’Gorman Memorial Scholarship Fund. In addition to CRR, staff from local firms Johnson O’Connor, LGA, LLP, Axial Financial Group, and McLane Middleton donated to and participated in the tournament, which took place at Veteran’s Field at Wakefield Lake. The tournament was a success – a fun day was had by all, and all funds raised will go directly to the Gregory T. O’Gorman Memorial Scholarship Fund.
CRR participated in The Angel Fund's Walk of Hope for ALS event in Wakefield, Massachusetts. In addition to participating in the walk, CRR was proud to raise more than $3,000 for this important cause.
CRR participated in the National MS Society’s WALK MS event in Lynnfield, Massachusetts. Team CRR was proud to fundraise for this great cause, which is dear to the hearts of many of our staff. The firm generously matched employee contributions. The team and their families had a great time at the walk and look forward to participating again in the future.
CRR collected new teddy bears and other stuffed animals to be distributed to sick children during the holiday season. Thanks to the generous donations of our staff, partners, clients, friends (and anonymous elves!), we were able to collect more than 200 stuffed animals for donation to Boston Children's Hospital!
CRR staff volunteered at the annual Timmy Grogan Memorial Golf Tournament with CRC, an organization that helps individuals with disabilities to live fuller, richer lives.
CRR volunteered at Cradles to Crayons's Giving Factory, an organization that provides more than 245,000 children with new and like-new clothing and other items every year. Along with other volunteers at The Giving Factory, we were able to sort and package items for more than 600 children!
CRR employees served dinner to critically ill children and their families at Ronald McDonald House Boston Harbor, a wonderful organization that provides free housing to families whose children are receiving treatment at Boston area hospitals.
Each year during tax season, CRR hosts a winter food drive, collecting more than 20 bags of food, household supplies, and personal care items that we donate to the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry. This non-profit volunteer organization provides emergency food and household necessities to Wakefield residents who have fallen on hard times. On average, the food pantry serves more than 500 local families in need annually. We have also hosted several "Packing Parties" at our office, packing food, toiletries, cleaning and household supplies into 200+ bags for donation to the food pantry.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Light the Night Walk is a fundraising campaign of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), which brings together families and communities to honor blood cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the disease, and shine a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients. For several years, CRR employees, friends, and family members have joined together with our business affiliate, Ferriter Scobbo & Rodophele PC, to raise money and participate in the three-mile walk around Wakefield's Lake Quannapowitt. Together, we raised nearly $10,000 for LLS, coming in first place for corporate fundraising teams! The funds raised by Light the Night participants will help advance breakthrough therapies for blood cancer patients.
Throughout the holiday season, CRR employees donate brand new toys for our annual Toys for Tots collection. At Christmas, Toys for Tots coordinators and other local volunteers distribute the toys to children in the community who may not have received gifts otherwise.
